WATCH: Ajinkya Rahane’s acrobatic six-saving effort on the boundary rope | Cricket News Apextalk

NEW DELHI: It’s not all the time that a player can grab a sensational catch which wins a match for the team but sometimes a superb fielding effort does have the same effect and the Chinnaswamy crowd witnessed the same thing on Monday night when a stupendous six-saving effort by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fielder Ajinkya Rahane won the hearts of the people present at the stadium in Bengaluru.
The incident happened in the 9th over of the innings when Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batter Glenn Maxwell hoisted left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja over long-off and it seemed the ball was going over boundary rope.

But an alert Rahane came up with a terrific acrobatic effort on the boundary line as he leapt backwards to flick the ball back into play just in time and save crucial five runs.

Earlier, Rahane continued his red-hot form and played a fine knock of 20-ball 37 which included three fours and two sixes. He was going great before being cleaned up by leg-break bowler Wanindu Hasaranga.
